Naked Boy

I hated seeing Teague with a fever. His body could never cool down because the cast would hold in all of the heat. Here he is "naked boy" (he even has a song that he sings when he is a naked boy). At least he got a lot of attention from Grandpa.

Cat-a-buggie

These pictures are so precious. Teague saw a caterpillar for the first time. He called it a cat-a-buggie. Look at the expression on his face in each picture:

Grilled Veggies

For the past couple of weeks, Tricia and I have been sharing recipes because I am tired of cooking the same ol' meals every week. She is giving me lots of new ideas Yum.

So here is one for all of you. Grilled Veggie Salad.

I grilled a halved tomato, halved squash, halved zuchini, quartered red onion. After they were done on the grill, I mixed a little honey and Italian dressing and drizzled it over the veggies. I added feta cheese and mixed it all up. It looked pretty and tasted good too.

Virus

We have such bad luck. Teague has had a fever for the last couple of day. On Memorial Day, I took him to the parade downtown. I should have known something was wrong when he didn't want to see the fire engines. He was really warm and got sick. It scared me, because I was told a fever could mean an infection around his broken bone. So we spent the rest of the day in the ER making sure that his fever wasn't serious. Thank God, it was just a virus. But, there is nothing that can be done for a virus; it just has to run its course.

I have NEVER seen Teague this grumpy. He was awful to be around. Rightfully so, he was hot, sick, and unable to move because of his cast. Poor child! Randy and I had to take turns taking care of him because he was too much!

I'm home with him today, and I can tell he is starting to feel better.

Only 5 weeks left of the spika!

Bed Head

Teague's hair has "bed head" everyday because he is usually resting his head throughout the day.

We found a new way for Teague to play. He can sit perfectly on this little bike. His cast rests on the ground and he can play! I am worried that he is getting bored because there is only so much he can do in his permanent seated position. By the look on his face you can tell this was a good find.

Commercial

I have no idea what the product is here. . . but it's a funny commercial.

Mother's Day Walk

This was actually Saturday, not Sunday. This was Teague first walk after being in the hospital. It felt good to get him out. Like the wagon? Thanks Tricia!

Here's Teague's best friend: Grandpa!I thought it was so sweet that Teague wanted to hold my hand as we walked.

Sitting Up

Even though it doesn't look like the most comfortable position, we finally got Teague to sit at his table. It's really the only place he can sit right now, other than the bean bag. Get used to it little buddy, we have 7 1/2 more weeks like this.

Feeling a Little Better

At least we see a smile once in a while.

The naps are still very long because recovering is hard work.

Back at Home

We made it home, but Teague is not comfortable yet. Poor little man.

The Big Break

Here was the second day in the hospital. He was completely out of it.

He hurt.
Consistently crying.
Thanks for the little monkey Jennifer. He already calls it George.

Seeing the IV made me cry.
