Today was Carla's promotion ceremony. She has been in the military for 12 years and was promoted to rank E-8. That's a big deal. Only 2% of the army achieve this rank. So impressive.
When we entered her area of the base, we had to sign a confidentiality agreement. Big time.
We're so proud of Carla and so happy we could be here to witness here special ceremony.
After her ceremony, Randy went to practice golf and I wanted to find good places to take pictures of Teague. I found an amazing old abandoned house that made a beautiful setting for pictures. I got a little creeped out though and only stayed for a couple of minutes. Then I found a cotton field, which was beautiful. I had never seen a cotton field before. I'll post pictures when I get a chance to look at them on the computer.
We ended the day by going to a resturant called the Mill. Good ol' southern cooking. Yum.

Val, see if you can bring me back a really good recipe for sausage gravy. Someone must have a good version of it there. Also, see if there are any old barns there. I love pictures of them.
Are you definitely going to be here Saturday? I need to know because of baking things, etc.
Have a safe trip, give Teague a hug for me,Randy don't forget the sunscreen while golfing in that nice weather (lol), get lots of pictures Val.
love, Debbie
